Flat Roofing in Ardrossan | Iron Shield Roofing

Most of Ardrossan’s roof inventory is sloped. It’s a residential hamlet about seven kilometres east of Sherwood Park, off Highway 824, with a population that’s gone from 484 in 2016 to 1,238 in the 2024 municipal census. The flat-roof work here is a different category from the residential re-roofs we run down the same driveways. What we get called out for in Ardrossan is low-slope sections on detached acreage shops, flat additions on the older Estates-area homes north of Main Street, the cluster of one-storey commercial buildings that opened in 2024 at the southwest corner of Range Road 222 and 3rd Avenue next to the Ardrossan Recreation Complex, and light commercial along Highway 824 and Township Road 530. None of it is Industrial Heartland scale — the Heartland sits north of Highway 16, around Fort Saskatchewan and Bruderheim, not here. What Ardrossan is, instead, is mixed-use, exposed-to-the-prairie low-slope work that bigger contractors skip and smaller ones can’t always handle right.
